The old pantry being used as a kitchen by visitors to Carreg Fawr, Bardsey Island, North Wales, UK

The old pantry used as a kitchen, facing west towards the sea. The house has been redecorated and refurnished since this photo was taken in 2002. Carreg Fawr farmhouse was one of the 'model farms' built on Bardsey Island in 1870s by the Third Lord Newborough during a major scheme to improve the accomodation of his tenants. The Welsh artist & writer Brenda Chamberlain lived here for a while. It is now owned by The Bardsey Island Trust, and let as self catering holiday accommodation
