The battle of bloodiest of the battles of the war of Yara, took place on 15th, 16th and 17th of March 1874. The Spaniards had three thousand men commanded by Brigadier Arminan and 1,600 Cubans commanded by Maximum Gomes. The first had 400 casualties and retreated and the second 200.
