This is not unlikely as the dune at this profile line retreated more than any of the other profile lines during the study. Only of the total meters of reces- sion occurred between October 1973 and December 1974. The beach was very active with evidence of both overall beach accretion and erosional scarps appearing in the 4-week interval between surveys. There was a net increase in beach volume between October 1973 and December 1974. 63.
