John Anty is the designer employed by Mr. Pflomm. The Christmas cut flower trade was good and more flowers could have been sold. Fred C. Kolb had a splendid crop of carnations for Christmas. Julius Reck states that trade has been exceptionally good. He disposed of many flowering plants. He had a good crop of sweet peas. I. L. B. ROCHESTER, N. Y. The Market. Once again Christmas has come and gone and, as previously predicted, the holiday season was one of the busiest ever experienced. The business this year was augmented by an enormous quantity of funeral work, partially the result of the influenza epidemic, which is still raging in this city and vicinity. More business would have been done the day before Christmas, had it not been for a rain storm which started at noon and continued throughout the day. How- ever, the greater part of the stock had already been sold. The weather, which was mild and clear, made delivery work easy, with far less work in the shipping rooms. Christmas prices prevailed on certain Jo Jo Hakm
