In Kentuc-ky there is an im-mense mound whichlooks somewhat likethe shape of a measures aboutone hundred and fivefeet from the tip ofthe nose to the tail. In Ohio tliere is a serpentwith open jaws and gracefully coiled tail. Whenthey were first found men dug them up carelesslyand ignorantly, Ijreaking and upsetting all thatwas inside.
