A 1910 Sketch showing the carvings on the four sides of the ancient Viking Hawsker village 'cross' (North Yorkshire) as they were at that cross is also listed on some sites as a Medieval English cross and the location listed as more precisely Low Hawsker. If there ever was a cross at the top of the monolith, it has long since vanished. It now stands very worn and relatively neglected near a minor road. It is very worn and in urgent need of listing and
