PACIFIC OCEAN (Mar. 08, 2019) – Gunner’s Mate 3rd Class Conor Wedlock, from Staten Island, fires a Mark 38 25mm gun during a live-fire gun exercise (GUNEX) aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Navy warships train together to increase the tactical proficiency, lethality, and interoperability of participating units in an Era of Great Power Competition.
