I donot know if there is frost enough in a Floridawinter to kill Lantana, but if there is not,then woe to Florida if ever the plant escapes touncultivated ground ! My house stands in a lOacre paddock, 5 acresof which do not belong to me, but I had the useof the land for my cattle and horses. Threeyears growth of the Lantana on this 5 acres hasso covered it that a dog could not get through,and it is 15 feet high. The plant is filling up allthe scrubs and forests, which in a few years willbe impenetrable.
