This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product ESA astronauts aboard Zero-G Airbus 300 aeroplane. This aircraft is used to create free-fall conditions during astronaut training. It is flown to high altitudes (around 7000 metres) and placed in a parabolic trajectory that produces 20 seconds of free-fall conditions. From left to right the astronauts are; Luca Parmitano, Andreas Mogensen, Thomas Pesquet, Timothy Peake, Samantha Cristoforetti and Jean-Francois Clervoy.
