A number of protesters hurled stones at Israeli soldiers and some were injured by Israeli rubber-coated steel bullets and tear-gas canister. According to local sources the Israeli Security Forces raided the village before Friday prayers to suppress the weekly demonstration and fired rubber-coated steel bullets and tear-gas inside homes of local residents. Since 2011 residents of Kafr Qaddum have been holding weekly demonstrations against the Israeli separation wall, the confiscation of their land, the nearby Israeli settlement of Kedumin, and the 2003 closure of the town's main road. The road was closed to Palestinians after the expansion of the Israeli settlement of Kedumin, seriously restricting their movements around their town and drastically increasing the travel time to the West Bank City of Nablus, which is the nearest main economic centre
