Arrayanes (Luma apiculata) are scattered along the patagonian landscape but this forest with its large concentration of cinnamon colored trees is very rare and only two are known in the world. One is located on the southern tip of the Peninsula de Quetrihue and the other near the first, into Isla Victoria. Both places in the Nahuel Huapi lake. Many specimen are several hundred years old and protected within the Los Arrayanes National Park.
