THE sun shines bright, the summers near,And, as we promised, we Storks are here;Though we were compelld afar to roam,We forgot not the nest we d left at see it still clings where last year it stood ;Well clean it, and live there, and raise our brood. With straw and with wood did they mend it well,How gladly they labourd no tongue can tell;Dame Stork during three weeks sat thereon,Then heard the neighbours a piping were six little Storks, a noisy brood, Who opend their hungry bills for food. 50
