The site of the Temple is in the centerof the city, on the bench land and the easternhalf of w^hat is known as Temple Block— theTabernacle and Assembly Building being on thew^estern half. The Temple Building is of white granitefrom Little Cottonwood Canon, was commencedFebruary 14, 1853, completed in 1893, and thecost was not less than $10,000,000.
