London, UK. 13 June 2018. Amelia Higgins of London Art Week presents "Self-Portrait of Giorgione", 1792, by Antonio Canova, (est. £1m). More known as the sculptor of V&A's "The Three Graces", Canova's rediscovered painting, was made to fool fellow Roman artists into believing that it was an original self-portrait by Giorgione. It is on public view for the first time since being painted at M&L Fine Art gallery, Old Bond Street, during London Art Week, with 40 galleries St James's and Mayfair taking part, 28 June to 6 July 2018.
