Where the tool roomsets a high standard of accuracy it will generally be foundthat other departments will eventually follow suit: but letthe tool room become careless about tools manufactured,and workmen using the tools will get the dont care habit,the resultant poor work being evident throughout the entireshop. It follows, therefore, that the tool room instead ofbeing in one corner, should be strictly in the limelight, andif anything, over-equipped for the work to be done.
