220927-N-YD731-1347 IONIAN SEA (Sept. 27, 2022) The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Bush (CVN 77) and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Truxtun (DDG 103) sail in formation alongside the Spanish Navy ships ESPS Juan Carlos I (LHD 61), ESPS Navarra (F 85), and ESP Castilla (L 52) during combined operations in the Ionian Sea, Sept. 27, 2022. The George Bush Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is on a scheduled deployment in the Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by Sixth Fleet to defend , allied and partner interests.
