TH E Daughters of the UtahPioneers Building, at the head ofMain Street in Salt Lake City, Utah,is more than just a building. It is aplace where information is being re-corded, exhibits are displayed andpeople are gathering information. Theycome from all parts of the world toget information on what the earlysettlers in the State of Utah did tosurvive and grow into a flourishingcity. They come for the purpose oflearning how to do things by studyingwhat was done during that early periodof history. It was a far-sighted pro-gramme, the Daughters of the Utahpioneers used in their civic and corn-to construct a building that would per-mit them to show some of the handi-craft, some of the equipment and someof the standards and practices thePioneers used in their civic and com-munity life in their determination toestablish a level of high ideals andfine living. Daughters of the UtahPioneers are the ancestors of peoplewho crossed the plains, some of themby ox carts, 20,000 of them at least,
