A South German long knife, circa 1500 Straight single-edged blade with double flat fullers on both sides. Deeply struck cross mark on the reverse side. Widely extended, straight cross-guard with oval cross-section, on the obverse side riveted, fivefold grooved hand guard. Leather-covered grip with narrow fullers on both sides, the leather decorated with fine circle punch marks. Length cm. Rare edged weapon from the early Landsknecht era.
