Pterosaur, Ornithocheirus, artwork. Ornithocheirus is a genus of pterosaur that lived during the Cretaceous, 112-108 million years ago. It had a six metre wingspan. It is shown here on the ground using its wings as a pair of front legs. It is thought that pterosaurs used all four limbs when on the ground and were able to walk, run, hop and lift off into the air.
