MEDITERRANEAN SEA (June 15, 2017) Quartermaster 2nd Class Kyle Hess looks through a statometer as the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) makes its approach alongside the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Big Horn (T-AO 198) to begin a replenishment-at-sea June 15, 2017. The ship is deployed with the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 6th Fleet and 5th Fleet areas of operations.
