The tierods are spaced 6 ft. center to center. These bonds wereadopted during 1910 to succeed the plug type. The Mon-treal company was one of the early users of cast-weldjoints but did not meet with success with them, asMontreal is subject to -a temperature range of 30 zero to 95 deg. above.
