Some-times venturing their fortunes in other places, sometimes farm-ing in the County near, once leaving Washington entirely, butalways coming back to the scene of their youthful prime andvigor, and now as the shadows gather and the sun of their livessinks low in the West, their only hope or thought is to taketheir final rest near the place that has spelled home to thisdevoted couple for well over the half century mark. Mr. Beatty first saw the light of day in Champaign County,Ohio, the year of his birth being 1828.
