He wasborn on a farm 2 miles east of Salislniry, Chariton county, Mo. , 1857, the youncrest of a family of nine children of John P. andMaro;aret D. (Towels) McAdams, who moved to this state from Vir-o;inia in 1836, the father ])eing a pioneer Missionary Baptist death occurred Dec. 24, 1893, his wife having preceeded him tothe grave 21 years.
