GULF (Nov. 5, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Quayla Bishop, from Akron, Ohio, seasons chicken during lunch preparation in the aft galley of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Bishop serves aboard Ike as a culinary specialist and is responsible for food preparation and feeding the crew. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
