Geiranger is a Norwegian town and settlement in the municipality of Stranda, in the heart of the Geiranger Fjord, a side fjord of the Storfjorden in the province of Møre og Romsdal. The name probably comes from the Norse geirr ('spear') and angr meaning 'fjord'. Geiranger, along the Geiranger Fjord, is one of the most visited tourist destinations in 456 In 2019, Geiranger hosted 344 cruise ships calling, the most of any port in Norway.
