Runners participating in the 47th Marine Corps Marathon set off from the start line in Arlington, Virginia on Oct. 30, 2022. Organized by the men and women of the Unites States Marine Corps, the 47th MCM is the first live event since 2019. The mile race drew roughly 20,000 participants, more than 2,400 Marines and Sailors, and 1,500 civilian volunteers. Known as "The People's Marathon," there is no prize money for top finishers; all runners were celebrated for their honor, courage, and commitment.
