A Spanish suit of armour for a man-at-arms, circa 1580, manufactured for the Ayala family Cabasset forged in one piece with segments in relief, continuous brass-coated lining rivets and turned edge. The front with the coat of arms (faded) of the Ayala family (two running wolves). Gorget opening on a hinge, with turned and roped edge. Sturdy, ridged breast plate with flanges on the gussets and the neck cut-out. Attached tassets sliding on five lames. Smooth back plate.
