Soulac-sur-Mer (central-western France): building Le Signal,, whose inhabitants are the victims of the first French climate expropriation. Soulac is a particularly fragile part of the Atlantic coastline. The ocean has nibbled away at the shoreline and the dune, and the building, located 200 m from the shore when it was built, is now on the water's edge due to maritime erosion. On February 6, 2023, the “Signal” residence building will be demolished after the asbestos removal has been completed and the building completely emptied. This will be the epilogue to a long legal and financial battle for the 75 co-owners. Aerial view of the building and beach, symbol of global warming and coastal erosion along the Atlantic coast
