A German wheellock rifle,mid 17th century. Octagonal barrel with eight-groove rifling in 15 mm calibre,dovetailed copper sights. The chamber struck with a mark showing a halberd bearer(Stöckel No. 5066). Cut wheellock. Hair trigger. Carved walnut full stock with patchbox and iron furniture. The butt stock is branded on the bottom and numbered "14" on top. Original ramrod with iron tip. Length 114 cm.
