Three Sisters rock formation at the Blue Mountains National Park, in New South Wales, Australia. Photographed from Echo Point overlooking the Gedumbah Valley. The Three Sisters are famous rock formations formed by water seeping into small cracks in the rock. The cracks grow larger over time to form large indentations. The Blue Mountains are made up of sandstone, which is easily eroded away by wind and rain.
