Kinlet Hall locomotive 4936 at Minhead Station


The Great Western Railway (GWR) 4900 Class or Hall Class is a class of 4-6-0 mixed traffic steam locomotives designed by Charles Collett. GWR 4900 Class No. 4936 'Kinlet Hall' is currently the oldest Hall class locomotive running on the mainline network. Built in 1929, she ran more than a million miles in GWR and BR service before being withdrawn and sold for scrap.
