Blake, who has acquired an internationalreputation as inventor of the submarine signalling system, Blake electrostatic separator,and other devices. The series of ten lectures was held during March and April andwas attended by practically the whole faculty and school in addition to a goodlynumber of townspeople. Dr. Blakes presentation of this most difficult subject was arevelation indeed, even to those in close touch with all its details. The ease and clear-ness with which he explained the most puzzling theories stamp him as a lecturer andeducator of the first rank, and it is to be sincerely hoped that we may again have theopportunity of hearing him. 15 3n lif m
