Sgt. Daniel F. Sullivan, Jr. receives his Navy Cross Medal and Cpl. Russell L. Clites receives his Bronze Star during a ceremony in Vietnam on January 7, 1967. Sgt. Sullivan was awarded for his extraordinary heroism on Operation Golden Fleece II in Phu Loc District. Cpl. Clites was recognized for his heroic achievements in Operation Prairie. Both awards were presented by BGen. Ryan, ADC, 3rd MARDIV.
