A CASE OF IRREGULARITY AND ITS TREATMENT. 769 A CASE OF IRREGULARITY AND ITS TREATMENT. BY HENRY N. DODGE, , S., MORRISTOWN, N. J. The case of irregularity illustrated by the accompanying figuresappears to possess sufficient interest to warrant a detailed descrip-tion. In Figs. 1, 3, 5, and 7 is shown the exact condition in whichthe case was presented to me, while Figs. 2, 4, 6, and 8 show theposition of the teeth when it left my hands. The patient was a girlof thirteen, apparently in perfect health, of nervous temperament, Fig. well-marked character, and indomitable will. According to thestatement of the parent, the first upper molars, which were imper-fect, had been extracted six months before the case was brought tome, and at that time the second upper bicuspids had been forced backby a series of wedges. After this, a retaining-plate was worn tohold the teeth in statu quo during the summer. In the followingautumn it became necessary for the family to remove to Morristown, Fig. 2.
