They arevery abundant in the South Atlantic and GulfStates, where they nest usual-^ly in bushes or hedges at lowelevations, but occasionallyon branches of tall nests are made ufweeds, shreds of bark,grasses, etc., lined with finegrass, very much resemblingthat of the Indigo. Theireggs are laid in May, June or July, they fre-quently raising two broods; they arc white orpale bluish white, speokled with reddishbrown. Size .75 x .
