An old engraving of the walled up remains of Fishergate Bar, part of the city walls in York, England when walled up. In essence this gateway (one of six gateways into the city of York) remains the same today, but with the archway open (it was unblocked in 1834 to allow access to the cattle market). In the Middle ages it was known as " Barram Fishergate", though the present structure which once had wooden gates was built by City Mayor, Sir William Todd wasn't built until 1487.
