The number to a string is usually ten, the first and end figs will be forwarded by us as soon as the wasps commence to issue from the Marame figs. Application for the wasps should not be made until the caprifig trees are four years old. The figs should be strung up in the same manner as is fol- lowed in suspending the infested figs in the Smyrna trees.
