He marriedCliarity, and liad issue Benjamin Meeker (married MaryHarrinian), Matthias Meeker (married Miss Parsons), andCaptain Samuel Meeker (married Mary Clarke). Captain Samuel Meeker lived in Springfield Township, inthat part now known as Short Hills, both during and afterthe Kevolutionary War. Pie commanded a troop of lighthorse that was recruited in Essex County, largeh^ fromSi^riugfield and vicinity.
