Ball stitch spaces, which produce a more or less strikingeffect of relief in needle laces. This brode(sketch i), is made of a strand of fine or heavierthreads, appliqued as was the original strandoutlining the pattern spaces, and then beautifullycovered by the buttonhole stitch.
