A newly installed amphibious assault vehicle turret trainer sits in an old armory building at 2nd Assault Amphibian battalion while Marines learn how to use the new computer systems for future training. The virtual simulator prototype was tested for five months before an approved design by Lockheed Martin was finally built. Alpha Company, 2nd AA battalion used the trainer before deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in September 2005.
