China and crystal used in the White House. Porcelain dinner plate with a purple border lined with gold dots and an outer border gold cable design. A version of the United States coat of arms is painted in the center of the plate. The plate is part of the \u201cSolfernio\u201d set and was purchased from Haughwout \u0026 Co. in 1861 as part of the state dinner service for President Abraham Lincoln. The china service was reordered under numerous presidential administrations.
