Souvenir de Georges Pernet introduced in 1920 by the veteran French hybridizer, Pernet-Ducher and named by him after his son Georges, who lost his life in the World's War, is proving itself one of our finest bedding varieties, entirely distinct in color, of large size and equally beautiful in bud and in full blown flower. Imperial Potentate was awarded the highest honors in 1922 at the International Rose Test Garden, in Portland, the city of its origin, while Eldorado is of California origin sent out by us in 1923 and which in this short time has made a splendid reputation as a fine bedding Rose. Eldorado (Land of Cold) In this we have an esact counterpart of Miss Lolita Armour, in the large-sized flowers of distinct formation, vigorous growth, and free flowering habit and fragrance, but in color it is of the golden yellow that is peculiar to the climbing Rose Marechal Neil, with the base of the petals slightly tinted red. $ each. Imperial Potentate Splendidly shaped buds, opening to well-formed, large, double flowers of crisp, glistening rose-pink with silvery suffusion at the base of the petals, sweetly scented. At the International Rose Test Garden, at Portland, Oregon, this variety was awarded the Silver Medal of the American Rose Society, the Gold Medal of the city of Portland, for the best bush Rose shown and the Silver Trophy of the Portland Chamber of Commerce for the best Rose produced in 1923 on the Pacific Coast. $ each. Souvenir de Georges Pernet We have felt enthusiastic about this variety ever since its introduction two years ago, but the wonderful flowers which it has produced during the season of 1924 convinces us that it stands at the head of the list of the many valuable garden
