A late Gothic hand cannon, French or Dutch, mid-15th century Wrought iron. Octagonal barrel with slightly flared muzzle, smooth bore in 20 mm calibre. On the bottom an angular hook, at the breech a deepened vent hole. Slightly curved iron handle with a large, oval terminal ring. The surfaces partially reworked with sparse, deep traces of corrosion. Length 136 cm. Extremely rare, early military firearm, only few exemplars of which have been preserved.
