A member of Burkinabe Special Program Embassy Augmentation Response (SPEAR) unit moves a role player to a secured location during a simulated terrorist attack in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on Feb. 27, 2019 during Flintlock 2019. Trained and equipped by the Department of State's Antiterrorism Assistance program, SPEAR is a quick response force responsible for responding within minutes to emergencies involving diplomatic facilities or personnel. This year they participated in Exercise Flintlock 2019 in order to enhance their effectiveness and interoperability with other units.
