Ella Slade grew up in Devon, spending as much time as possible immersed in the world outside. This is a fascination that has stayed with her throughout her life, playing a fundamental role in her creative development. After developing an instinctive affinity towards portraying the natural world in mixed media, Ella chose to study for a Textiles degree at the prestigious Manchester School of Art. Here, she developed her understanding in the art of gesture, colour and textural abstraction. Returning to the freedom of life back in the South West, Ella is now able to let her spirit wild. She often works outside, each new adventure providing her with unique combinations of colour, motion and textures to commit to her canvases. Owned by Steph & Eric Bridge who have a combined 50 years experience of teaching watersports in Exmouth, Edgewatersports is provides top quality tuition, sales and club membership from their brand new watersports centre on Exmouth Seafront. Embrace a new sport or simply come and get some advice with one of the world’s most famous kitesurfing families –Team Bridge. Eric & Steph first began their watersports business in Exmouth with ‘Spinnakers’. This was an evolving dinghy sailing school which was a huge part of their growing family lives. The site was taken over for development at the same time as kitesurfing getting popular so it became apparent that teaching Kitesurfing would also be a great lifestyle choice!!! We never had to repair a dinghy again! Edge was born at the ‘Edge’ of the duck pond in 2003 where we ran the shop & centre before getting evicted once more to make way for a Pub. We re-established the business at Exmouth Harbour while always looking for a site closer to Exmouth Seafront. This dream came true in 2020… The Watersports centre (opened October 2020) is testament to both Steph, Eric & many other’s hard work as well as what Exmouth has become for Watersports.
