Arteriograph, tinted pink, of the coronary arteries of a normal heart. Arteriography is the x-ray examination of an artery that has been outlined by prior injection of a radio-opaque contrast medium. The technique is used mainly to demonstrate the site and extent of atheroma (the degenerative change in the inner and middle coats of arteries). Original is BW print P216/038.
