Devon and Somerset Staghounds August 22nd 1981. Exhausted stag is cornered in a small pool by the hounds. The stag was killed soon after. He was dragged out onto the bank and shot with a pistol. This was taken long before the Hunting Act 2004 that banned this pastime on grounds of cruelty.
