With the front cover removed, the interior of the 16gb SDHC card has two NAND 8gb flash memory chips and, above them, part of the circuit board and controller chip ( enclosed in black blister). On the exterior reverse side of the card are 9 gold plated pins that provide the link between the reader/writer and the card. Their most common use is in cameras but hi spec versions can record video. This card is rated as Class 10 which is capable of recording Full HD (1080p) video and consecutive recording of HD stills at 10 MB/s minimum sequential writing speed.
