China: Chinese Bulbul perched on a pillar in Wenshu Yuan (Wenshu Temple), Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The Light-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus sinensis), also known as the Chinese Bulbul, is a bird and a member of the bulbul family. Wenshu Yuan (Wenshu Temple) dates back to the Tang Dynasty (June 18, 618–June 4, 907), and was originally known as Xinxiang Temple. It is now a popular Zen Buddhist temple. Chengdu, known formerly as Chengtu, is the capital of Sichuan province in Southwest China.
