Enrico Caruso (1873-1921) dressed in period costume. Caruso was an internationally acclaimed, Italian operatic tenor who performed at major opera houses in Europe and the Americas with his Italian and French repertoires. He was one of the first singers of his time to be commercially recorded. He was also an accomplished sketch artist and an avid collector of stamps,coins, watches and antique snuffboxes as well as a compiler of scrap books.
